Pulse Jet Dust Collector Filter Bags
Industry-Leading Filter Bags for Pulse Jet Dust Collectors
At the crux of any effective pulse jet dust collector system is its filter bag. These hardworking components act as the barrier between dust-laden air and the clean air exiting the collector.
Filtration Systems Products is the go-to partner for your pulse jet dust collector filtration product solution. We offer a vast range of filter media to ensure optimal performance for your specific application.

The Pulse Jet Process
Industrial manufacturing plants require strict adherence to the Clean Air Act. Pulse jet collectors purify the air to mitigate dust, metal particles, and other contaminants.
When the dust collector pulls in air from the facility, it travels through the filter bag, leaving dust trapped within the media. The clean, filtered air exits the collector through a separate chamber.
The system initiates regular cleaning cycles to maintain airflow and dust collection efficiency. Compressed air enters the filter bags, creating a brief reverse flow to dislodge particles from the filter media. Then, the dust particles fall into the hopper underneath for disposal.
As a result, the filtration material can make or break the performance of your pulse jet collection system.
Filter Media Options
Polyester
Our cost-effective and versatile polyester pulse jet filter bags cater to various dust collection needs. Choose from weights ranging from 8 to 22 oz/yd² for optimal dust-holding capacity. We offer different surface finishes to meet your specific requirements, such as:
- Plain
- Glazed
- Singed
- Teflon or acrylic laminate
- Teflon or acrylic bath
Though not ideal for high-moisture environments, polyester offers good abrasion resistance, with a max continuous operating temperature of 275°F.
Polypropylene
Our polypropylene bags come in two distinct constructions to suit your needs:
- Durable Woven Fabric: Perfect for moderate dust loads and available in 8.5 oz/yd².
- High-Capacity Felt: Superior dust holding capacity in weights of 12, 14, and 16 oz/yd².
Both woven and felt options boast various surface finishes, such as singed, glazed, and plain. ePTFE membrane finish is also available for elevated performance and cake release. Polypropylene thrives in pharmaceutical and chemical industries, where the moist operating temperature limit is around 190°F.
Aramid
Our aramid filtration materials come in durable woven fabric (5.5 oz/yd²) perfect for moderate dust collection and high temperatures, and high-capacity felt (7, 10, 14, 16, 18 oz/yd²), with superior holding capacity for extended life in high heat. Choose from plain or singed surface finishes for standard collection or optional ePTFE membranes for high performance.
Aramid has exceptional heat resistance, withstanding continuous operating temperatures of up to 400°F. While ideal for environments involving sparks or hot materials, aramid fabric isn’t well-suited for extreme acidity.
Acrylic
Our acrylic filter bags are more tolerant than other materials in humid environments. Available in weights of 10, 12, and 15 oz/yd², choose from plain, singed, or ePTFE membrane finishes.
Acrylic performs best in mild acidic conditions and moist environments, such as food processing and pharmaceuticals. Its maximum continuous operating temperature is 250°F.
PPS
Choose our PPS bags for top-of-the-line performance in demanding environments. Offered in plain, singed, or ePTFE membrane finishes, these bags provide exceptional abrasion resistance, high-temperature tolerance (375° F), and chemical compatibility.
P-84
P-84 filter bags conquer tough dust challenges. Available in 14 oz/yd² and 16 oz/yd² weights and plain or singed finishes, this material excels in abrasive environments and extreme heat (420°F).
