In 1979 Paul and Robin Vance purchased the filter division of Bemis Corp. and started FSP to manufacture and market knitted dust bags. By expanding quality product lines, nurturing mutually beneficial partnerships, and most importantly–hiring knowledgeable employees who share their passion for customer satisfaction–FSP has become one of the leading distributors of filtration products in the world.
FSP was the third business to add to the development of Vance Holdings, Inc. As a Monsanto engineer in 1966, Paul Vance pioneered a new fire-resistant hydraulic oil named Skydrol and launched Aviation Fluid Services, Inc. Six years later, responding to a need for flame-retardant garments and supplies for military and space projects, Fire Safe Products was created along with Durette, a patented fire-resistant material. FSP was established in 1979, and in 1994 the Vances purchased Thomas B. Moore, Co., a leading supplier of adhesive coatings, to expand the fluid products line of AFS.
While we embrace future-forward technology and product development, every employee still demonstrates the qualities on which FSP was founded nearly 40 years ago– transparency, honesty and integrity. In every aspect of business, our skilled employees strive to understand our customers’ concerns, anticipate their needs, and exceed their expectations. Our lab technicians, sales team, customer fulfillment personnel, managers, and all employees support FSP’s commitment to exceptional customer service and unsurpassed product knowledge.
